love is all we need

In November, I was granted the honor of shooting the most beautiful wedding I have ever attended to date. Stephanie (Sky Flower) and Marcus Carr have to be some of the most gorgeous people I know inside and out. This wedding was so unique! What I loved most about it was the fact that the whole wedding was DIY. From the food, the flower arrangements, the wedding dress, the alter, EVERYTHING was done by the bride and groom, with the help of friends and family. The tropical boho wedding was hosted on Treasure Island Beach FL, in a beautiful private beach house just walking distance from the shore. Marcus the groom, designed their alter out of bamboo teepees! His mother and other family members and friends worked all day in the kitchen making amazing vegetarian dishes and sweets. Stephanie grew flowers from her garden and made the arrangements into table pieces, the girl even designed her own dress out of of white lace incorporated into a vintage, flowy and beautiful design! The whole wedding and vibe was simply amazing. They had so many talented friends that were so musically adept, performing through song and dance- from wash boards, to banjos, and violins! Everyone was drinking out of mason jars with crazy straws, dancing and singing, swimming, enjoying the nice warm bon fire they had or just admiring all of the work that was put into that beach house's back yard. From hanging candle chandeliers, the "Transformation Station" (An awesome mini-teepee set up by a lovely woman named Laura Sanchez, which was a place you could get your tribal face paint on and flash tats etc.) colorful canopies hanging from tree to tree with comfortable places to sit surrounded by fluffy pillows, blankets, tiki-torches and white christmas lights. Hammocks, seashells, fire dancing, flowers, hand made signs, candles, crystals, and nothing but love in the air was probably the best I could describe this pinterest perfect wedding! Oh... well maybe you can feel as if you were there vicariously through my whimsical photographs. Enjoy! Also, congratulations again to my sweetest family- Stephanie, Marcus, and Leilani xoxo

Another thing I really loved about this wedding, was the next day! Everyone laid under the alter with blankets and towels, soaking up the sun and the sand all day long, playing bongo drums, spending time with family and friends, hula hooping, and taking awesome photos!

just lovely!

I truly feel accomplished and hopeful and confident. having a lot of time on my hands did lead me to coordinate an impromptu fun girly photo shoot with some close girl friends when I got home though.  I was thoroughly impressed with the outcome! I have to edit a bunch still, but here are some photos of me that my lovely friend Heart Jianca took of me for now!

And, here is a sneak peak of some edited photos I took of Liz & Jia!

Also,  I got to meet up with one of my dearest friends miss Stephanie Sky Flower this past week. I hadn't seen her or her fiance Marcus in about a year and a half or more. They just had an adorable, gorgeous baby girl named Leilani. They are amazing people and are getting married in November. I will be the lucky person that shoots their wedding! Stephanie is doing a complete DIY wedding. From making her dress, to growing her own flowers,  Marcus will be constructing their alter from Bamboo. I am so inspired by them, and will link photos and and feature her posts and blog later on in November. Lately, Sky Flower has been doing  "30 day hoop mama challange" videos. She hula hoops for 30 minutes a day for 30 days. Her videos also feature recipes, gardening advice, tips and tricks to hula hooping, and new mom tips! I was featured in one of her videos near the end, I figured it would be a good time to post it here. We had a blast and I cant wait to do it again!

Also, Stephanie & Leilani modeled for a photographer named Donna Green. I thought their whole shoot turned out absolutely gorgeous. So here is a photo I absolutely am IN LOVE with from their shoot!

good morning universe

I am very determined to start shooting again for my photography! Around a month ago, my boyfriend and I (his name is buttercup. yes buttercup!) took a trip down to Ginnie Springs. About 2 hours north of Tampa, FL. where we live. We had a magical two days. Despite getting lost, hiking through a thorny forest carrying inner tubes, getting poison oak on my leg, and having an encounter with some very huge spiders...it was amazing! We tubed, drank some good ol' whiskey, made a kick ass fire, and got to explore some of Florida's most amazing scenery. I took some shots of some flowers and leaves with my macro lens. I will post below! Also, there are other photos of the trip as well. Have a fantastic day lovelies! Enjoy :)

Buttercup and I enjoying a day on the river!

A beautiful forest we picked some of our own firewood from!

I didn't brush my hair for two days! Natural mermaid spring hair!

                                                                     Ginnie Springs itself!

I wish I could call this photo my own. But it's not! Buttercup took this.                                                                             Stunning photo of me being a mermaid :)
